Why we built this
True Ventures has invested in founders for over 20 years. Across the partnership, that's thousands of conversations — with founders in our portfolio and ones who've pitched us. We wanted to see if some of what we've learned could reach further.
The idea
Access to experienced investors shouldn't be gated by geography or warm intros. A founder in Lagos should be able to stress-test an idea with the same rigor as one in Palo Alto.
Office Hours is an experiment in making that happen. Each member of the True Ventures team has an AI lens shaped by their actual investment experience — the questions they ask, what they've learned working with founders, the things they push on. These aren't generic chatbots wearing someone's name. They reflect two decades of real conversations with founders.
How a session works
Pick a session type
Pitch Review, Product Strategy, GTM Planning, or Hiring Strategy. Each one shapes the conversation differently.
Choose your partners
Select one for a focused 1-on-1, or pick several for a multi-perspective discussion. Each partner brings a distinct lens — consumer, enterprise, infrastructure, ops, design.
Run the session
Have a real conversation. Get structured feedback, tough questions, and a summary you can take with you. Share it or keep it private.
What this is
A tool for founders to practice, expand their thinking, and stress-test ideas. We offer a narrow lens through which certain aspects of your idea can be amplified further.
Think of it as: unlimited practice reps before the real meeting. First-pass feedback at 2am. A way to hear how different investors might think about your problem — before you're in the room.
What this isn't

Why True Ventures
We've been working with founders since 2005. Across the partnership, that's hundreds of journeys — from first pitch to product-market fit and beyond. We've learned a lot about what makes companies work, and we wanted to see if some of that could reach further.
True Ventures is also an early investor in Polsia, the platform this was built on. We're walking the walk on being early to new technology — not just writing checks, but building with the tools ourselves.
The first working version took under 15 minutes to build. We've iterated since, but the speed surprised us. That's the part worth paying attention to.
