Is this a real partner?
No — you are not talking to a True Ventures partner in real time. Each “lens” is an AI persona shaped by that partner’s public writing, talks, and interview transcripts, plus custom system prompts written with input from the partnership.

Who sees my data?
Your chat messages live only in your browser during the session — they are not written to our database. If you refresh or close the tab, the raw conversation is gone.
If you tap Get Huddle Notes, we generate and store an AI-written memo (not the raw transcript). True Ventures admins can view session memos and metadata; they cannot see the raw conversation because it is not stored. Full details on /privacy.
How is this different from ChatGPT?
Two differences. First, each partner lens runs on a system prompt written from that partner’s actual investing focus, questions, and portfolio patterns — not a generic “act like a VC” prompt. Second, the session is structured: you pick a session type (Pitch Review, Product Strategy, GTM, Hiring), the lens pushes on the right questions for that type, and you leave with a formatted memo.
Under the hood we use Anthropic’s Claude via a Polsia proxy; the value is in the framing and prompts, not the model.
How long does a session take?
Most founders spend 8–15 minutes on the back-and-forth, then wait about 30 seconds while the huddle notes are generated. There is no fixed length — you can end and generate the memo whenever you feel ready.
If you walk away mid-session, an inactive session with 5+ messages is auto-completed and a memo is generated so nothing is lost.
Is my session confidential?
Yes. Raw conversation messages are not persisted server-side — only the AI-generated summary memo, session metadata (type, partner lenses, timestamps), and your email if you voluntarily provide one. Your data is not sold, shared publicly, or used to train models.
Session memos can be shared only if you generate a share link. Otherwise they are visible only to you and to True Ventures admins. Read /privacy for specifics.
